Inge got woken up by her alarmclock it was monday again and she had to go to school again. Inge mumbled something and turned around again thinking about how she hated school and getting up this early. After a few moments her mom jelled because she was late again.Inge got down for breakfast and ate as fast as she could trying to get to school in time.She ran al the way but when she got there the yard was empty and she new she was to late again.She ran into the big grey building and arived at the classroom breathing heavily.She opened the door and saw the entire class watching her and she could feel herself turning red "nice of you to join us"the teacher said "i'm honored"the class laughed at her while she sat down still red and catching her breath.
She still hadn't quite recovered when the door opened again and the principal entered followed by a girl with long blond hair Inge didn't now. "hello children" the principal said "this is angelo kelly and he shall be joining this class" Inge looked surprised she was a he??!! she had never seen a boy with such long hair but wen she looked closer she saw that he was realy a boy. The entire class apparently had thought the same when they started laughing at the new kid. the girl next to her wispered "he looks wierd like a hippy" only now Inge realised that the boy had verry strange clothes on and she kept staring at him. how strange she thought but then she felt sorry for him because he looked a bit sad and Inge new how it was to be laughed at it had happened to her a lot to. The boy sat down on a free place but because nobody wanted to sit next to this strange boy he had to sit alone. "have you had german before?" the teacher asked him "no sir this is the first time i have to go to school" the teacher looked surprised and the class started to make fun off his strange english/german/spanish accent and the fact he had never visited a school before "but i have had private teachers" angelo tried to clarify but the laughing continioud "settle down children!" the teacher jelled and then to angelo "well we will see how good you are" and then he continiud the class again.
Inge saw all the children in her class wispering and making fun of angelo when the teacher wasn't watching and she felt even more sorry for him and wished she could help.After a few more hours the bell for the break rang and al the pupils ran outside including angelo and Inge

Inge walked with the girls fom her class to their favorite spot and started to eat and chat a bit but inge couldn't keep her eyes off angelo who was standing in the corner of the yard looking loneley and unhappy. Suddenly her thoughts where interupted by one of the girls who apparently had asked her something because she got poked in the ribs by her "huh what??" Inge asked surprised "daydreaming again i see?" "yeah maybe and whats wrong with that?" all the girls started started to laugh at her and then the question got repeated "what do you think of the new kid?" "wel i don't know" they started to laugh again "you must have formed an opinion by now you have been looking at him for ages" Inge was getting a little bit anoyed with them right now because they were always teasing her "he looks nice" she said a bit mad and then the laughing started again and this time Inge was realy mad at them "he doesn't look nice he looks wierd" one of them said "he looks like a hippy" another one said. "hey don't say these things !! you don't even know him" Inge was angry now but the laughing continiud "i don't want to know him" and then they started to laugh again. Now Inge had realy had it she had always known that she didn't fit in the group but now it became even more clearer that they had completely different ideas and she walked away.
When she looked back she saw that they probably hadn't even noticed that she had left and at that moment she decided that she would stop trying to fit in with them and she walked to a bench and sat down. she new she was al alone now and got tears in her eyes when she realised that she never realy had any friends but she managed to fight them back. When she looked over at angelo again she saw that he wasn't alone anymore next to him sat a chubby girl who looked a bit older han him. She saw angelo looked happy now and she was happy for him and hoped that that would happen to her soon.
Then she tried to think about happier things and she started to think about the schoolmusical.This year they would do a music rendition of romeo and juliet and Inge loved music and singing but she thought that she would never be good enough for the lead art. But she saw no harm in dreaming about it. Inge forgot al about ther problems while she was daydreaming about how it would be to be on stage playing her guitar and singing with her romeo who in her dream looked amazingly like angelo

Then the bel rang and she went inside, she had music now and inge was looking forward to it. On the way in she was still dreaming and didn't pay attention so that she bumped into angelo "oh sorry" she said shy "it is ok" he said with a smile "youre in my class aren't you?" my god inge thought, he is talking to me and he sounds nice not like the other boys i now "eh yes i am" she said turning red, why does this always happen to me i must look like a tomatoe to him now "wel great you can show me the clas then i have no idea where i'm heading" angelo continiud with a big smile on his face "yeah ok we have music now my favorite subject" she became less shy because he kept laughing at her no matter how red she got "music? cool" they walked to the class talking and he turned out to be verry nice!
When they got to the classroom they entered together and Inge saw that everybody was looking strange to her "what are you doing with that bum one of them wispered "bum??" Inge looked surprised "he is actualy verry nice she said looking over to him while he walked to his place. Then Inge decides that she liked him better than her class and she walked over to him "can i sit with you i'm having a fight " she asked him. Angelo looked surprised but said "sure" Inge sat down and she could see that they were laughing at her again, oh how she hated them at this moment! The teacher was a bit late and so Inge decided to talk a bit more with Angelo "my name is inge by the way" she said "hello inge i'm angelo gabrielle kelly" they shook hands "nice to meet you" they both said at the same time and started laughing. "wher are you from?" she asked him next "i was born in spain but i have lived al acros europe" "cool i have never been outside of Germany" they got to now each other a bit better and Inge found out he had a big family and that they loved to sing together Inge was happy to find somebody who thought music was important just like her.
Then finaly the teacher entered looking a bit sad "children" he said " i have some bad news the band from which we always hire the instruments for the musical has a concert on the same day so we don't have enough instruments" the class looked shocked at the teacher "this means we have to cancel the show" Inge was shocked she had so looked forwards to this the only thing wich could make her feel a bit better and now this was gone to. Suddenly she saw Angelo putting his finger in the air "what is it angelo" the teacher asked "which instruments do you need?" the teachers eyes got bigger just like Inge's what was he talking about? "ehm we could probably get some flutes and guitars but not enough and the big things like a drumset is also a big problem" angelo got a big smile on his face and said "well i can arange a drumset, conga's eleven akoustic guitars and six electric ones ehm..... two violins some flutes wel everything including the ampplifyeres and micro's" inge looked at him in surprise was his family rich or something?? the teacher looked a bit shocked to "are you serious ?" he asked "yeah can i make a phonecal just to check?" "of course" the teacher said and angelo got a mobile phone out of his bag. God he must be rich he has a private phone Inge thought getting mor surprised about this boy with the minute. "hello its me" angelo said and then he started to talk fluid spanish ! after a few minutes he hung up again and smiled "its ok we have nothing planned on that day" Inge felt like huging him now and by the look of it so did the teacher!
the rest of the day went by and Inge couldn't remember most of it because she was so happy about the music there would be auditions tomorrow. She had found a realy good friend in Angelo he thought exactly the same and had invited her after school to meet his family and Inge felt a bit nervous about it. Before she realised it the final bell rang and she walked outside where she would meet angelo again.

When she got outside she saw a big red bus in front of the school and she was wondering wat is was for but then she saw angelo and walked over to him "hi" she said "hello"he said and took her hand "i will take you to my family now" and Inge was realy surprised when he walked towards the bus. At the bus Angelo got greated by a lot of people with long hair and strange clothes on just like him "hello" Inge said a bit shy and then they noticed her "wel angelo you work fast!" said a boy with long brown hair "she is a friend paddy a friend" angelo answered as he hit the boy on the haid "well inge this is my family.. paddy maite barby patricia jimmy joey john kathy and my father dan" Inge was surprised at this he had said he had a big famaly but this was rediculous " guys this is Inge the only person who talked with a bumm like me al day" The whole family laughed at this "i told you so" said the chubby girl who inge had seen during the break "when you smile at people they will smile back. "nice to meet you Inge" angelo's father said "unfortunately Angelo has to practise now" Angelo pulled a funny face "can she join me?" "wel it might be a bit boring for her" "what will you be practising Angelo?" "my drums" "and youre singing needs work to Angelo" father interupted "i know" "you can play drums?" Inge was quite shocked she had not expected this "that is so cool!" she almost shouted "i think she is interested" angelo laughed and his father smiled aswell.
They al went in the bus and Inge looked around it was a big mes in here with instruments lying everywhere and also clothes and stuff. Angelo saw what she was looking at and said "sorry about the mess but we are with so many people" he sounded ashamed but Inge only laughed "you are with a lot yeah" they walked to the back passing the kitchen where maite was cooking and in the back there was a big drumset and Angelo sat behind it and started to play. Inge's mouth fel open wow he was good! she recognised the beat he was playing and grabbed a guitar who was lying around and joined in. To her surprise it sounded great and they where jamming together to Inge's surprise they both new the same songs Angelo had a big smile on his face and so had Inge.She was happy that she had finally found a real friend.
Suddenly Angelo stopped playing and Inge looked behind her there stood the whole family watching them and Inge turned red. "it sounded great Angelo but you haven't played any of our songs and that is sort of the point of practising isn't it?" father said "yeah i know" Angelo said "but Inge doesn't know them and i don't feel like playing alone today i have been alone long enough" Inge was wondering wich songs they where talking about and got curious "i want to hear youre songs Angelo" she said "ok i will play along"this was paddy talking and he grabbed Inges guitar. Inge looked at them while playing their music and Inge felt so happy
They sounded great realy with love for music. Then they both started singing and Inge's heart skipped a beat he sounded great and she new she liked this boy more than any other boy she had ever met. Could this be love ??? she thought but she shook that thought no they were only friends. Then Inge glansed at her watch and saw it was verry late!! almost dinner time "shit!!!" she jelled and the music stopped "I have to go home angelo" she said.

Angelo looked a bit dissapointed but decided he would take her home and they grabbed there coats and walked to wards Inge's home. It had became quite cold and almost dark and both of them didnt say much they where both thinking " Inge?" Angelo said "yes?" "I have to confess something….. i have never felt this way about a girl before" Inge was surprised se had never expected this and she looked over to him he looked a bit shy now and he didn't dare to look her straight in the eyes. Then Inge "i know what you mean i feel the same like i finally found my soulmate or something" Now Angelo looked at her with his beautifull bleu eyes and smiled "thank god" was the only thing he said and then he took her hand and they walked further. Inge's heart was racing now but she felt a bit scared also what would he do next ?? would he kis her or not she didn't know what to do so she did nothing.

They where at her house now and they hadn't said anything to each other anymore. When they got to the door and she wanted to open it Angelo stopped her and they faced each other looking deep into each others eyes then Angelo suddenly kissed her. It was a smal kis and only on the cheek but he had kissed her!! Inge just stood there and did nothing "sorry" Angelo said and he wanted to turn away but then Inge decided something ; she didn't want him to stop! And she kissed him back but this time on the lips At first Angelo looked shocked at her but then he kissed her back with more passion than she had ever felt. Inges world was tumbling so fast now and she felt like she was going to fal over but she liked it and she couldn't think of anything else but them. She could feel his strong arms going around her waist as he pulled her closer and then…….
The door opened and she saw her mother looking verry mad "Inge what do you think you're doing whith this bum?" her face turned red as she pulled Inge away from the boy inside of the house "leave my daughter alone!" she jelled at angelo and then she closed the door with a big bang!
Inside Inge was crying why did her mum have to be like this nothing she did was ok with her. And although Inge had been happy the whole afternoon she soon remembered the reality when her mother started screaming at her. She wasn't allowed to see Angelo off course and to check up on her her mum would take her to school and pick her up as well, Inge tryd not to listen to her mum talking about responsabilities and what would be best for her and so on…..
Inge went to her room as soon as possible and started to play her guitar again like she always had when she felt like this.

The next morning Inge was again wakened by her alarm clock but this time she jumped out of bed trying to please her mother who was stil verry mad at her. Just like her mother had told her she took her to school that day and Inge felt miserable and hoped that she would get the chance to explain this to Angelo but she new this chance would be slimm. When she got to school she saw the red bus standing there but her mum took her straight to the principal When she arived at the office her mother started telling the principal that a boy had harased her doughter and that she wanted him expelled. Inge just sat there listening shocked and she couldn'' say anything because she new what would happen if she did. Off course the principal believed her mother and called Angelo into the office. When Angelo walked in she could see his surprised face and he smiled at her a bit but when he got told what her mother had said his eyes darkened and he didn't look at her anymore while he was explaining that this had to be a misunderstanding of some kind. Inge's eyes fild with tears when she realised that he would probably hate her now.

When the talk was over the principal decided to give Angelo a second chance because he wasn't used to the schoollife and so on. They both returned to their class not saying a word and Inge had never felt this bad before she felt like screaming or crying but she new her mum was close behind her excorting her to the class. They werent alowed to sit next to each other anymore off course and although Inge looked at him the whole time trying to get him to look back, he didn't and she couldn't blaim him for that.
Finally the bell rang and it was time for the break Inge walked outside trying to find Angelo and she saw him sitting at the same place as yesterday. She walked over but didn't know what to say to him how could she explain her whole life to him and even more how could he ever understand it. He would only feel sorry for her and she didn't want that he deserved someone better than her …. Maybe it would be better when he hated her it would be easyer for him than to know the truth.
When she had thought this she turned around although she was close to him and walked away but then she felt a hand on her shoulder turning her around. When she looked up she saw the beautifull bleu eyes of angelo but he looked mad at her "why did you do it Inge??" he asked "i thought we had a special thing going" Inge got tears in her eyes;oh how she loved this boy! She thought "we have angelo" "so why did you do it?" "i cant explain" and she tried to walk away but Angelo stopped her again. "leave me alone Angelo" she said trying to sound mad "i don't love you!!" she continiuod with tears running down her face. Angelo looked shocked and got tears in his eyes aswell "you can trust me" he said knowing that she was lying now. "no you are better off without me" she jelled and ran away leaving a bewildered confused and almost crying angelo behind.

Inge had ran for a long time when she realised that she had nowhere to go , she couldn't go home and she had no friends to run to, and she stopped looking around her….. At the end of the street she saw a busstop and she walked over to it not exactly knowing why. Then suddenly a bus stopped before her and not knowing what else to do Inge got on it. She sat down in the back of the buss not knowing where it was heading..
The buss stopped and the driver said everybody had to get of and so did Inge, when she was outside she realised she was in the city now and had no idea what to do next! She looked around again when an old lady who had also been in the buss asked her if she could help Inge thought about it and then said "yes do you know where the shops are?" The old lady explained it to her and Inge went there still having no idea why she was doing this.

Suddenly she hear music and it sounded fermilliar and when she walked over there she recognised Angelo's family on the stage. A lot of people had stopped to listen and so did Inge, the music was so beautifull she just had to! When the concert stopped she saw Maite come to her and she didn't now what to do she ouldnt tell why she was here and not at school mainly because she didnt know herself…….
It was to late to run away Maite had seen her she should have never stopped to listen!! She looked around in panic thinking of a good excuse but she didn't now any more she had lied all off here life about her mother and why she sometimes had bruises all over her body to her friends her family and her teachers and now she couldn't do it anymore…. She only felt tired verry tired and when she could she would love to have dissapeared off the face off the earth that verry minute because she thought nobody would miss her anyway……
When she thought all this maite walked over and could see the panic in Inges eyes "hi Inge why are you not at school" she said with a concerned face. Inge looked up but decided to be strong again and lie… "uhm my mum is sick and i have to pick up her medicines you couldn't get them at our doktor" Inge felt so sick right now she hated lying but her mum had told her that when anyone found out the truth she would kill her and Inge was sure she ment this!!!
"oh ok have you got them ??" maite continioud "yes i was just aboutt o go home when i heard you sing" Inge said and forced herself to smile "and now i think i missed the buss" "oh no problem you can ride back with uss we are finished for today" "oh thanks that would be great!!"

she helped to but the instruments in the buss and then they drove off during the ride Inge played her role of the happy girl with no problems perfectly learning the kelly songs on a guitar but in the meantime she was thinking of what to do, next they would sureley pick up angelo what would he think ? and then her mum, she was late again!!!
When they arived at the school Angelo was indead standing at the gate and she saw her mums car Around the corner. She thanked the kellys for the ride but as soon as the doors opened she jumped out and ran past a suprised looking Angelo towards her mums car. She new what was about to happen and she lowered her head. When her mum saw her she got out off the car and started yelling abuot how a bad daughter she was and that she never listened. Although Inge felt realy bad she tried not to cry because that was what her mum expected from her, so she tried to be strong.
What inge didn't know whas that Angelo had followed her and was now standing behind a big tree watching all this. He was suprised to see this but didnt know what to do. Inges mum started to hit her now because she had said everything she wanted to say but was still mad, Inge just stood there and did nothing. Angelo realised that this was not the first time this happened because Inge did nothing now he felt realy mad and wanted to help even more.
Inge had bruises across her face and her nos was bleeding but she still did nothing suddenly her mum stopped and got a nasty smile on her face!! Inge looked surprised what was going to happen now??? Also Angelo looked surprised and wondered what she would do now. Then inges mum shouted "you will have to stop playing the guitar and start doing more of youre homework…… i will sell it tommorow.. also no more singing that has been anoying me for a long time" now finnally she broke Inge who fell down on her knees crying "no mum please not my music…. Not that please" but her mum was only laughing like an evel witch.

Now Angelo couldnt take it anymore he apeared from behind the tree and walked over to the car now Inge realised he was there and she wispered "no not you…. Not here, not now" but Angelo came closer now her mum realised he was there also " Inge???? What is that bum doing here?? I told you you couldn't see him anymore!!" she hit Inge in her face.
Angelo ran towards them and grabbed Inges hand, he helped her up and started running pulling her with him. Inges mum looked surprised "iff you leave now i dont ever want to see you again" where the last things they could here her say.

They ran for ten minutes and then they sat down on a bench both verry red and breathing heavilly. Nothing was said for a few minutes then they looked each other deep into their eyes.. "i love you Inge and i will protect you for the rest of my life" Angelo wispered Inge got tears in her eyes "i love you to but ….." suddenly Angelo kissed her tenderly "no buts Inge" he said. "i wish life was that easy Angelo but it isn't" she said breaking away from him "i have a lot of problems right now" "i know i will help you" he said looking detement "i wish you could really Angelo" tears began to run down her face again "but i don't expect you to… you can still leave iff you want" "no" he said as tears began to run down his face to "let me help you" and then he took her in his strong arms.
For the first time since long Inge felt realy safe she also new she loved this boy more than life. Suddenly Angelo looked at his watch "shit my family will be worried" he was already getting up "what about me i cant go home now she will kill me" Inge asked looking worried. Angelo smiled at her "don't worry" he said while he took her hand.
Inge was wondering what he was planing but let her be pulled towards the buss. Angelo said nothing as he took her straight to his father he started to say something in spanish to him and Inge stood there watching not nowing wat to do she couldnt understand a word wat was said.
After a few minutes Angelo walked over to her with a big smile "you can stay with us but first you will have to report this to the police.
Angelo and his father took her to the police and it was decided that it would be best if Inge would stay with the kelly family. Inge was a bit happier that night aving fun with maite and Angelo but she was afraid that this wouldn't last that long but she tried not to think about it. She fell asleep in Angelos arms that night.

The next morning she was woken up by a light kiss, she opened her eyes and kissed him back. She loved being this close to him!! They walked to school hand in hand. Today there would be auditions for the schoolmusical and Angelo had convinced her that they would be a perfect romeo and juliet, although Inge wasnt sure about this she had promised him to try out.
After class they both walked over to the musicroom. There where loads of children there and Inge felt realy nervous she was not sure she could do this she looked over to Angelo wo looked completelly calm, but then again he had been on a stage before.
They where last and while they where looking at the others performing Inge felt more insecure by the minute. At last it was their turn and Inge felt relieved that Angelo had to start the duett they would sing. Inge watched him as he played his guitar and sung beutifull but when it was her turn to sing she felt a lump in her neck as she looked over to al the people who where watching her.
She couldn't get her voice to work then she felt Angelos hand softly touching her arm she turned around to look at him "sing it for me Inge just for me" while she was looking into his beutifull bleu eyes sudenly the whole world dissapeared…….. She started to sing her part of the love song just for him and it sounded beautifull. When the song ended she fell into Angelo's strong arms "thank you" she whispered.
Then all the children started clapping and the teacher said "i think we have found our romeo and juliet" Inge got a big smile on her face and she new everything would be great as long as she was with him.

After school they walked over to the bus and everybody there seemed verry exited about something Paddy ran towards his little brother shouting "we did it!! our song was on the radio!!" he started to jump around them "this is it we are going to be famous!! We are going to do a big tour and be on tv and on the radio"
Although Paddy was verry exited angelo didn't seem to care "what is with you??" paddy asked "well i'm in school now so i cant come with you" paddy started to laugh "off course you can!! We couldn't do it without you" 'are you sure?" Angelo asked sounding a bit happy now "sure i'm sure! Lets ask dad" They went towards their father and offcourse it was so. Paddy and angelo started to jump around like mad men now screaming "we did it!!" all the family was laughing at them.

Nobody noticed Inge who was standing quietly where Angelo had left her she was thinking al sorts of thing on the one side she felt happy for him but also verrry sad because they would leave her behind! She would have to go home or to and orphanage or something it would be terrible she already knew that her hapiness wouldn't last long 'cause it never did but this was redicilous! She also thought about the schoolmusical but mostly she thought about losing him… she would be alone again…
She couldn't keep her tears away now and she ran towards the bench where the had gone to before She started to cry uncontrolably… she had briefly tasted hapiness but now it stopped again and her life would be even worse as before!

Suddenly a shadow fell over her and when she looked up she saw Angelo with a worried look on his face "what is wrong Inge?" he sat down next to her taking her hands "nothing"she said looking to the ground "I'm glad you are getting this chance" she looked at him trying to smile. Angelo looked a bit mad now "don't lie to me" he said and Inge new she couldn't anymore not to him anyway "you are leaving me" she said with tears filling her eyes again "i would never leave you He said surprised "yes you are youre going to get famous now and forget about me" suddenly he realised what she was talking about "i wont leave you behind!" he said looking straight into her eyes "you have to" she replied. "no!" he said as he took her hand and pulled her back to the buss
He ran straight to his father "what about Inge?" he asked directly. His father first looked surprised he clearly hadn't thought about this after a bit of thinking he said "she will have to come with us.. that is if she wants to" "i do" she interupted "i want to leave this town and my past so i can go on with my life" Angelo's father smiled "well that is settled then"

Angelo and Inge went back to the bench for the last time the next day, they would be leaving that evening "i told you i wouldn't leave you behind" Angelo wispered while embracing Inge "do you believe me now?" "yes" she wispered back..
Inge hadn't lied this time she realy trusted this boy ! This was the first time in her life she felt like she could. She was happy knowing this! She didn't need to dream again because this was real. She could feel his atrong arms around her pulling her closer and she could realy feel him kissing.
