This was a great hall. The place where we had to stand was like a stairs, just as at the Loreley. So everybody could see it very well, no matter where you stood.
The Kellys came onstage at 19.45. Everybody threw balloons again and Maite hit one with her tambourine.
WHY WHY WHY was the first song. After that Jimmy came with his guitar to sing THUNDER. The third song was LOOKING FOR LOVE. Patricia came in front and got babyclothes and shoes from the audience. She really liked them and thanked everybody for the babyclothes. I think she really got many of it. And then
she said 'Now it's my turn to sing' and she started singing. After one sentence she let us sing, because she liked that so much, and she called us 'My babies'. Then Paddy and Maite came for I FEEL LOVE and NO WOMAN NO CRY. Paddy said we had to sing louder, otherwise they had to go home. After that it was Maite's turn to sing one of her 'new' songs WATCH THE STEPS YOU MAKE. She said that she had seen a sweet little girl in the audience with a paper that said 'Maite would you dance with me'. And so she wanted the girl to come onstage to dance with her, she wouldn't forget it. Halfway the song the girl had reaced the stage and Maite danced with her.She took the girl to the side of the stage and told her to stick her tongue out to someone. Maite stuck her tongue out, but the girl didn't. At the end Maite asked the girl who she liked the most, Paddy or Angelo. The girl whispered Angelo in Maite's ear, and so Angelo came and kissed the girl twice on her cheek and Paddy gave Angelo two drumsticks, that Angelo gave to the girl.
Then the Kellys left, only Angelo stayed to sing his new song LIFE CAN BE SO BEAUTIFUL.
Jimmy sung one of his new songs WAISTIN' ALL THE TIME after that. There are still mny 'oldies' in the programm and this is one of my favorites because of the lyrics and that was I'LL SWIM I'LL SWIM. Then Maite sat down and told us that there was a special guest and that it was Luke, Joey's baby, and that after those 5 days in Holland she almost didn't have a voice anymore and that we had to help her through EVERY BABY.
Of course we did. After that Patricia came again for WINNIE THE POOH. It is already one of my favorite songs that I play so often on my guitar, that all my -no kelly family fan- friends can sing it along. But this time it was so so so cool. Me, my sister and our friend from Czech made so many photos that as we put them together, we have the whole song on film. First Patricia got a Winnie the Pooh balloon from a girl who had been sitting with us all day. She really wanted the balloon, and waited with singing until she got. Then she walked around with the balloon and suddenly saw a majoy stuffed Winnie in the audience that she wanted too. She held it and started singing while walking around with her two treasures. At the chorus she walked to Joey who was behind the conga's and said that he had to dance with Luke now. The whole audience started screaming Joey Joey Joey!!! And so after a while Joey came and danced without Luke. But he did very crazy and it was funny. Patricia said, OK now Paddy. So the audience started to scream Paddy Paddy Paddy !!! and Maite tried to pull his guitar away to give him the chance to dance. But he wouldn't let Maite have his guitar and he came in front with it and danced. Then Patricia started to sing 'There's a tree...' but the audience wouldn't let her and started to scream Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy. So Patricia walked to Jimmy, who was behind the percussion, where Patricia usually stands/sits. But Jimmy didn't come, and Patricia said 'But you love Winnie' and Jimmy said 'Yeah' but didn't come. She started to sing 'There's a tree...' but again the audience didn't let her and started to scream Angelo Angelo Angelo. Paddy walked to the drums and tried to get behind it to let Angelo dance, but Angelo wouldn't give away his drumsticks (these guys are so attached to their instruments) and stood up and made a few moves with his hips. He sat down and again Patricia started 'there's a tree...' but then the audience started screaming Maite Maite Maite. And Maite pulled her jacket over her head and ran backstage, but then she ran into Tanja and Luke, and she tried to pull Luke out of Tanja's arms to take him with her, but Tanja wouldn't let her and Maite came back and danced alone. Then finally Patricia could go on with her song and everybody sang out loud the chorus. When the song was finished, she gave bakc the balloon to the girl, but she keeped the stuffed Winnie. Paddy pointed to his watch to tell Patricia she spend too many time on Winnie The Pooh, but of course he didn't really mind. He was smiling all the time. It was Joey's turn for ANOTHER WORLD. The audience was clapping to the beat when the instruments stopped for a while when Joey sang 'It's another world, it's a wild world'. It went on with KEY TO MY HEART. Then it was Patricia's turn again for her IRISH SONG. only accompanied by her bombo. And she ended it again with dutch sentences.
Maite came after that for I WANNA BE LOVED. The audience started Maite Maite Maite again and she stopped her intro, and smiled. She started again and someone yelled 'Maite' again. So she stopped and said that it was a very serious song so we had to be quiet (she said it smiling of course). Then she started again and stopped after a while looking around and so 'I am watching you', but no one screamed, so she could go on.
After the song it was time for a break.
We were not allowed to bring ANY drinks, also no cardboard wrapped drinks. So the security brought us bottles of water that we had to share with the fans around us. The all was extremely hot. It was already hot when the Kellys were not even started. During the concert they were sweating extremely too. The drops fell of Maite's head and Joey dried his face with his shirt often too.
The second part started with HALLELUJAH. As powerful as ever. Then Paddy came with his blue guitar for FELL IN LOVE WITH AN ALIEN and somebody threw a green alien onstage. After that we got Jimmy's second new song LORD CAN YOU HEAR MY PRAYER, that I love so much for the harmonies. They sing it so beautiful.
TRUE LOVE, the next song, gave my goosepumps again. And the audience was going ssssssss...when someone yelled.
Then it was time again for PLEASE DON'T GO and Jimmy was doing very crazy, making crazy faces when it was time for him to sing. Everybody in the audience laughed.
Then Maite came for SO MANY THINGS. She dropped her microphone-standard and a roadie came onstage to pick it up. When he went away Maite ran after him, trying to get him. But he was too fast. It made Paddy laugh and when Maite didn't see it, he came to the front and put the microphone-standard on the ground again. Then another roadie came onstage and put it back up again, and Maite saw him and ran after him too, saying that these were great guys.
After this song Paddy came and we had to clap for ARES QUI, like this: clap clap clap...clap clap clap. He let us stop and we had to do it again, then he started playing.
Then they went away and it was time for the drumsolo. This time it was very nice, because Angelo suddenly stopped and came running in front with a tambourine and sang 'hey, hey baby' and the audience sang 'ooh aah, I wann know if you'll be my girl' and after that Angelo ran back and started the drumsolo again. We screamed Hey, Hey, Hey when he said we had to do it and so on...
It went over in THE WOLF where Joey made a salto and was very wild.
Then ONE MORE FREAKING DOLLAR came and we had to sing Ooohoohooh ooh ooh, after Paddy and something like 'mama mia'.
When TAKE MY HAND came, everybody expected Paddy to give us hands and started pushing like crazy. But then we saw him walking above us on some sort of balkony that was all over the ceiling. We could see through the balkony, so we could see him walk. He waved to the audience below him. It was very nice.
Then it was the end of the concert , not really..... They waved and went away.
Angelo and Paddy came back for I CAN'T HELP MYSELF. Angelo let us sing a few times. Then they pretended it was the end again, but the roadies came up to put Patricia's bombo on a chair and they put the microphones together. So the Kellys came back and one of them said that there were so many babies coming in the family now, because there was Luke (the audience screamed) Patricia was becoming a mother (the audience screamed) and Angelo was becoming a father (the audience screamed) and therefore they would sing a song called MOTHERHOOD (the audience screamed).
There was a point, I don't exactly remember when it was, but the audience started singing again 'Paddy is Oke, ole ole'. And after that he pointed to Joey and then came all the other Kellys and Kristiaan (the new bassplayer). And when we had had them all, Paddy came to the microphone and sang Tilburg is Oke, ole ole. and we sang on. Then Paddy made a sign with his arms and it was over, and they went on with their program.
After that Jimmy asked us if we wanted to hear another song. Of course we wanted that. And he introduced Paddy and his new song. Paddy came in front and the rest of the Kellys, except Angelo, waved an went away. Paddy said that it had been a very short tour through Holland and Belgium and they were happy to go home on one side, but on the other hand they were sad, because of us, they like it so much. He said that the new album hopefully would be ready around christmas or in the beginning of the new year, because they had to have a break now for Patricia's baby. Then he said that he had written this new song, that probably would be on an album, for his family. And he sang BROTHER, BROTHER very beautifully, and I had a bunch of crying fans around me.
That was really the end of the concert unfortunately.
I managed to get a programm from the stagefloor.
