We arrived at the Loreley on friday. we got the numbers 241 and 242 (double numbers) which wasn't bad at all. we'd expected a lot more fans. we spent the day with other dutch fans. The organisation was perfect. we were out in line the next day at 7.00am. No one ran, no one sneaked to another line. All the fans were calm. We were put on a field two by two. So it was an extremely long line, but no one without a number could sneak in without being seen. The security watched these people all day and a few without number were sent away immediatly. Security told us that we had to sit down and stay down until they told us to get up. And everything went right. We stood up when the people in front us stood up and not earlier. I never experienced it this way. No one ran. When we came inside we took place on the stairs, on the third rung. Which was a very good place. we good see The Kelly Family arrive behind the stage. But we were also in the middle of the stage. it was a perfect place. A few minutes after 20.00 the show started. There
were 6 Kelly's.
- Thunder - Looking for love(and Patricia told us they would collect money again for cancer) - I feel love and No woman no cry - So many things I wanna do - I will be your bride - Fell in love with an alien. Maite wore a very blue wig. it was a nice model, not like a clown, but a model moviestars used to have in the 50s. she sang Kathy's part in the song. - I'll swim I'll swim
- Another world - Key to my heart at the end of it Paddy got a bottle of water and gave every member a bit water. They all spit it out like a fountain standing next to each other, at the same time. Paddy usually does this alone, so this was special and very nice. With - Every
baby Maite told us that there was a new baby and that unfortunately wasn't
her baby, but that it was Joey's baby. While she said it she kept looking to the
right side of the stage. We had seen Tanja sitting there with Luke, but they
weren't coming onstage. It wasn't meant for us to see her, but we could see that
part of the backstage from were we stood.
- Please don't go at the end Jimmy had to do another trick and Patricia almost fell over him. - Ares qui Maite picked a guy from the audience to dance with and Paddy ask him if he wanted to have his sister. The guy said yes and then Paddy asked how many camels he wanted to give for her. Maite stood there laughing. She brought the guy back and then Maite and Paddy split up the audience in two teams. we were in Paddy's team. We had to sing and then would be decided which team was the best. But of course Maite and Paddy both liked their own team the best. - Mama was sung by Paddy all alone, the others left the stage. And his voice got extremely high, which is very hard for a man. The audience reacted immediatly. Later Angelo joined him and sang second vocals. Very beautiful. Then they sang together - I can't help myself. So actually we had had the 2 usual encores. We wondered what they would sing now as encore. After I can't help myself came the drumsolo and The Wolf. Again Joey fell when he did a salto. But now he didn't hurt himself like last year. He himself laughed the hardest. - Angels flying - Warriors of love. Paddy plays piano there and Jimmy walked up to him and slammed on the piano which was a bad sound of course, but Paddy just went on and wasn't disturbed by it. - Alle Kinder brauchen Freunde - Medley - German song - Anton aus Tirol - My Bonnie - An der Nordseeküste - One more freaking dollar. Here Paddy started with the thing he does often in Germany. He shouts 'Prost der säcke' and the audience shouts 'Prost der sack, auf der Paddy, sack sack sack. - Take my hand Paddy wore, while going by the audience, a t-shirt with 'loreley 2000 and ich war dabei'
We didn't have a break
during the concert and now it was time for the encore and we were so curious.
When they came up they stood in a half circle, like with the unplugged thing,
but now they were standing. And they started with
Then they left and we went to the exit. We had seen an extremely good concert with an even better encore. © Jolande (Groetjes naar Nederland! Bedankt voor het oversicht en de prachtig fotos!!) |
